She first gained significant recognition on television as the title character âPooja Mehtaâ in the popular Sony TV drama Ye Meri Life Hai (2003-2005). The performance earned her numerous nominations and awards, her wins including the 12th Annual Lionâs Gold Awardsâ Criticsâ Choice âBest Actressâ (2005), Sony TVâs âBest Faceâ (2005), Indian Television Academy Award â âGR8! Face of the Yearâ (2004), and âBest Debutâ (2004).
