Earlier in the day, Raut condmend Gandhi over his statement, in which the latter had said that he would not offer an apology as he is not Savarakar.

“Wrong statement. He’s a Gandhi but no need to drag Savarkar’s name. Savarkar is our inspiration. Inspiration behind our fight is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Veer Savarkar,” said Raut.

Talking to media reports, Raut said that he would talk to Rahul Gandhi face-to-face over the issue. Rajya Sabha LoP and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has invited the Opposition Floor Leaders of like-minded parties for a meeting tonight at his residence in Delhi tonight (March 27).

Opposition Comes Along

This came as a setback to the Congress at a time when it is recieving a strong support of India’s Opposition parties including Trinamool Congress. Not more than a few weeks, TMC had iterated that Congress should not believe that it is a “big Boss’ of Opposition.

On the other hand, Opposition leaders have gathered at Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge’s chamber where they discussed a strategy for the Parliament with two major issues: Adani issue and disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from Parliament.

In a significant move, the Opposition leaders wore black outift to protest against the ruling dispensation and walked in to the Parliament. The Opposition echoed that it is not a fight to save a leader of particular political party but it is an attempt to save the democracy in the nation.
