Taj Mahal’s Beauty Will Remain Intact, Yamuna Authority To Work Under TTZ Norms

The Yamuna Authority has prepared the plan for the new Agra Urban Zonal Centre. It is being reportedly said that the authority will initially develop the industrial area. The authority will focus on the Taj Mahal as it has prepared a plan to keep its beautification intact. It will approve environment-friendly factories and companies in the region. 

New Agra will be developed on 58 villages

Dr Arunveer Singh, CEO of Yamuna Authority, said the vicinity of the Taj Mahal will remain pollution-free under the Taj Trapezium Zone (TTZ) guidelines. He said no industrial activity would be allowed in the area so it won’t impact the beauty of the Taj Mahal. The CEO said a survey will be conducted and the companies will be invited on the basis of the survey report. The New Agra will be developed on 9500 hectares of land in 58 villages. Residential, economic, and green areas will be developed on the allotted land. 

Primary reports have been prepared

The CEO said that primary reports have been prepared on population, road, transport system, environment status, facilities, and industries. The authority has also prepared a report on other water sources in the Yamuna region. Now, the authority is planning to begin the survey work, he said. 

8.5 lakh people will get employment

Dr Arunveer Singh said New Agra will have a capacity of 1.46 lakh Housing capacity, and around 8.5 lakh people will receive employment in the region. He said the authority will encourage economic activities so the population size can be increased. He said the authority will complete the paperwork by May, and the work will be started soon.
