PM Modi Hails 75th Anniversary Of Indian Constitution As A Proud Moment For Democracy

He called this a pride moment for all the citizens and for all the democracy-loving citizens across the globe. He calls it an extraordinary achievement.

On the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about it in the Lok Sabha. PM Narendra Modi stated that, “For all of us, for all citizens and for all democracy-loving citizens across the world, this is a moment of great pride.”

PM Modi stated that, “This achievement of 75 years is not ordinary, it is extraordinary. India’s Constitution has brought us here by defeating the possibiltiies that were expressed for India at the time when the counrty attained independence. For this great achievement, besides the drafters of the Constitution, I would like to respectfullly bow before the crores of people of India – they lived this new system…Citizens of India deserve all the praise.”

He further mentioned that, “Constitution makers were aware. They didn’t believe that India was born in 1947, that democracy in India started in 1950. They believed in the great tradition and culture here, they believed in the great heritage, in the thousands of years of the joruney – they were aware.”

He said that “we are not just the large democracy, but also the mother of Democracy.”

In the Lok Sabha he also mentioned, that, “India’s democracy, its republican past has been very prosperous. This has been an insporation and that is why today, India is known as Mother of Democracy.”

PM Modi Praised The Digital Age Of India

In Lok Sabha, PM Narendra Modi says, “Era has changed. We do not want haves and haves not situation in digital sector. That is why, we proudly say that the reason behing Digital India success story is that we tried to democratise technology.”
