The Noida Authority is preparing to launch a new plot scheme specifically aimed at electronics component manufacturing, with plans to allocate at least 15 acres for the initiative, officials announced on Monday. The authority will present the proposal during its upcoming board meeting as a new development for Noida before launching this scheme. Official statements explained that the decision stems from investor market growth over time.
This plan will allocate land in sectors 162, 163, 166, and 167, which are currently under development along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. According to officials, 70 percent of India’s cell phone production facilities operate from Noida, which shows substantial commercial potential in the mobile sector.
As quoted by Hindustan Times, Lokesh M, Noida Authority Chief Executive Officer, said that, “We will take up a proposal for discussion and approval in our upcoming board meeting is likely to happen soon, once the chairman gives the time. Once approved, the authority will launch this scheme consisting of at least 15 plots.”
He also mentioned, “We are left with no other land except the new areas located along Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The new scheme will not only help offer unique opportunities for the investors but also create direct and indirect business opportunities.”
