Heavy Rains Expected Across Delhi-NCR For Next 5 Days – IMD

According to the IMD, rain is expected in Delhi from July 7 to July 12, with the maximum temperature possibly reaching 37 degrees on July 11. The capital will remain cloudy during this period.

Rain and humidity continue to affect Delhi, but the weather stays pleasant without sunshine. People are experiencing issues due to the humidity. The maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 34.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal, while the minimum was 27.1 degrees Celsius. According to the IMD, rain is expected in Delhi from July 7 to July 12, with the maximum temperature possibly reaching 37 degrees on July 11. The capital will remain cloudy during this period.

The IMD has issued a heavy rain alert for Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Madhya Pradesh, and East Rajasthan for the next few days. Arunachal Pradesh will have a rain alert until July 9, while Assam and Meghalaya will have alerts on July 9 and 10. Odisha will experience a rain alert on July 7.

Monsoon rains have begun to cause problems in Gurugram, Haryana. Recently, some parts of the city experienced light rain, but now the humidity is causing discomfort. According to the IMD, the next rain is expected on July 12, as the monsoon is gradually weakening. Light to moderate rain may occur in some areas on different days.

Continuous rain in eastern India has caused river water levels to rise. Assam is facing a serious flood situation, affecting more than 30 lakh people in Bihar. Since July 4, Bihar has experienced light rain, causing rivers and streams to overflow in some districts. The increased water flow has raised dam water levels. Rain in Nepal has also caused river levels in eastern India to rise. In Himachal, Kangra, Dharamshala, and Palampur have recorded over 200 mm of rain.
