Farooq Abdullah Warns Arab Nations of Potential Israeli Aggression Over Oil and Gas

In response to questions about media reports regarding conditions for the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, Abdullah criticized the media for spreading misinformation. “Who told them about these conditions? Did they receive a revelation?

National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah issued a stark warning to Arab countries, suggesting they may become the next targets of Israel and the United States as both nations eye their valuable oil and gas resources. Speaking to reporters after a party meeting at party headquarters Nawa-i-Subah, Abdullah expressed concerns over the geopolitical dynamics in the region.

“It is the United States’ long-time policy that Iran should not become a nuclear power,” Abdullah said. “Even Sunni countries in the region oppose this, but they lack the courage to voice their concerns. Today, they believe Iran has been attacked, but I want to caution them that Israel will one day turn its attention toward them as well, driven by a desire for their wealth. Israel is merely a facade; America is right behind them.”

Abdullah also addressed the broader implications of the escalating conflict in the Middle East, emphasizing that it could have dire economic consequences for all nations involved. “I am hopeful that other world powers are closely monitoring the situation. If this war escalates further, it will lead to economic ruin for every country,” he warned. “They must act to prevent this escalation, as our own condition in India is already precarious.”

In response to questions about media reports regarding conditions for the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, Abdullah criticized the media for spreading misinformation. “Who told them about these conditions? Did they receive a revelation? The media here has a tendency to spread lies and does not report the truth. Statehood is a right of the people of Jammu and Kashmir; it is not a favor to them,” he said.

Additionally, Abdullah announced the formation of a human rights wing within the National Conference, which will be led by MLA Pampore Justice (retired) Hasnain Masoodi, along with two other members. This initiative aims to address human rights issues in the region and advocate for the rights of its residents.
