The Centre’s air quality panel has lifted the GRAP Stage 3 restrictions in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) due to a decrease in pollution levels. This decision was made on Friday, following a previous announcement where the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) had already removed Stage 4 restrictions. The improvements in air quality were noted, allowing for these curbs to be revoked.

The Commission for Air Quality Management shared the update on their X handle and wrote that “CAQM Sub-Committee on GRAP revokes Stage-III of the extant schedule of GRAP in the entire NCR, with immediate effect.”
CAQM revoked the Fourth stage of GRAP on Thursday, January 16. This move from them came after the improvement in Air quality in Delhi-NCR.
The Air Quality Index recorded as per reports was 164. This is also considered unhealthy, but seeing the improvement in AQI the CAQM has revoked GRAP 3. Now the BS-III petrol and BS-IV petrol cars can run agarin on the roads of Delhi-NCR.
