Can You Use UPI Payments For Food On Trains?

In India, certain trains provide free meals included in the ticket price. However, many trains do not offer complimentary meals. In such cases, passengers need to order food from the pantry service available on the train. After placing an order, payment is required.
Currently, passengers cannot use UPI ID for payments on the train. Instead, cash payments are necessary for purchasing food.

Online Ordering With UPI

While UPI payments are not accepted for food on trains, you can use your UPI ID for online orders. To order food online, visit the IRCTC e-catering website at https://www.ecatering.irctc.co.in/. After placing your order online, food will be delivered directly to your seat. Additionally, there is a wide variety of food options available.
