There are several expressway projects that India is expectation soon to be open to the public. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of expressways in the country. Uttar Pradesh is going to get another expressway, which will be a game-changer project for the commuters and the residents of the state.
For the first time, a solar project is going to be planted on the expressway. This will provide electricity, as well as will be beneficial for the villages on the route. This project is called ‘Bundelkhand Expressway’. The length of the Bundelkhand expressway will be 296 km.
Benefits From The Bundelkhand Expressway
The expressway will pass through 7 districts, which include Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Banda, and Chitrakoot. The expressway will boost connectivity and make travel smoother for the commuters.
A 550 MW solar power capacity will be created by installing solar panels along this stretch. Once completed, the project will promote green energy and provide electricity to around 1 lakh homes. Estimates suggest it could generate up to 450 MW of electricity, as per media reports.
Solar Panels will be installed on both sides of the expressway along a 296 km route. This expressway is going to become a unique one as it will have solar panels, which will save money and will be beneficial for the routes on the expressway. The panels will be installed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
