Bollywood has introduced the audience to the new generation of stars, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, with the romantic film ‘Saiyaara’. The movie has become the latest obsession of Gen Z and has been making waves with an intense storyline and mesmerising songs. Amid all the love and praise, ‘Saiyaara’ has also created new records at the box office on its opening day.
Saiyaara Box Office Collection Day 1:
According to the website Sacnilk, ‘Saiyaara’ collected Rs 21 crore on its opening day. It has become the fourth highest opening of 2025 and is only behind Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’, Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 5’. The movie has also surpassed the opening of Bollywood’s biggest superstars, as Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid 2’ only earned Rs 19.25 on the day of its release. Meanwhile, Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ collected Rs 10.7 crore on day 1.

‘Saiyaara’ is an intense love story between the artistic souls Krish and Vaani, despite coming from different worlds. The movie also stars Alam Khan, Geeta Agarwal, Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, Shaad Randhawa, Sid Makkar, Shaan Groverr and Neil Dutta.
Produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, the movie is directed by Mohit Suri. For the unversed, Mohit is well-known for his sad yet intense love stories that have been well-received by the audience. He has previously directed ‘Awarapan’, ‘Ek Villain’, ‘Aashiqui 2’, ‘Woh Lamhe’, ‘Raaz: The Mysterious Continues’, ‘Murder 2’, ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’, ‘Malang’ and many more.

Recently, both Ahaan and Aneet shared heartfelt posts for each other as they start their journey on the big screen together. Praising Aneet, Ahaan wrote on Instagram, “To the girl in the yellow dress with the universe in her eyes… we have a new star up there now, you’ve made mumma and papa Padda so proud, and you did it all by yourself. I hope you’re ready for the world to fall in love with you the way we all did. Thank you for the lessons and for the mentorship, even if you didn’t know you were doing it. Saiyaara is Ahaan Panday’s first project, whereas, Aneet has starred in a web series called ‘Big Girl Don’t Cry’.
