Lakshya Turns A Year Older; It’s A Working Birthday For Kill Actor As He Shoots For His Next Film With Ananya Panday

Lakshya made his dream debut with the film 'Kill' and received high praise for his intense performance.

Kill star Laksh Lalwani brought in his birthday today with close friends. “Last night, a couple of my friends came to my house. They brought a cake. They’re my very close friends. So, I did a bring-in with them on my birthday. But we couldn’t do much because I had a shoot the next day. So, I’ll go today and party with them. Simple, sweet. A lot of things have changed after my first film. The kind of validation and the kind of confidence boost that I was looking for came through Kill. And it’s a great feeling that wherever you go, people recognize you because of your work. And I remember last year, around 20-25 people wished me and this year, around 100-200 people wished me. So, it feels good that people give you so much love and respect. All this has happened only because of my work and our film. So, I feel very happy about it. And it’s a good thing that people remember you on such a special day. So, I will use this as a motivation and I will keep working hard so that their birthday wishes and love increases every year. And the film is going very good, sir.”

On his birthday today, Laksh is shooting for his second film. “We’re halfway through the Chand Mere Dil shoot and I’m having a lot of fun with Ananya. She’s a very helpful co-actor and a very good actor. She’s very sensible and has a good emotional quotient. And the best thing about her is that she doesn’t take herself too seriously. She prepares the scene and does it very well. She’s a treat to work with.”

The softspoken young actor shares his childhood memories of his birthday. “I remember one day, my father was travelling and he told me that he couldn’t come for my birthday. But it was all a surprise that he was planning for me. So, it was around 12 or 12.30 at night when I was sleeping. I was in 9th or 10th standard. So, he came to my room and turned on the light. And then he started singing that song, Happy Birthday. And he had a cake in his hand. I remember that we used to get our cake from Moti Sweets. So, we used to get a cake for Rs. 150. And the Rs. 150 cake was a luxury for us. It was a very expensive cake and we had to eat it properly. So, my father went to Moti Sweets and arranged it. And when he got the cake, it felt very special.I felt that if someone does so much for me, it’s a special feeling for me as well. And today, I’m on a shoot. So, I want my birthday to be on the set and shoot only.

Laksh’s birthday wishes? “I want to keep working and be happy. Because I don’t get more happiness than the set. I don’t get as much happiness while working as I do on the set. And the best birthday gift I’ve got is the fact that I’m working, sir. There can’t be a bigger gift than this for me. There can’t be anything more than this. That I’m working on this day. And I hope that on every birthday and every year, I’ll keep working. And I’ll do a good job. And I’ll bring a smile on people’s faces because of my work. And I’ll make them feel something through my performance. And thank you so much, sir, for reaching out to me. I just wish you all the best, Sir.”
