Mohanlal has officially announced his 365th lead role, tentatively titled L365, and what makes it all the more exciting is that Austin Das Thomas, best known for his role in Thallumaala, is making his directorial debut with the project.
Taking to X, Mohanlal shared, “With immense joy, I announce my next film. Directed by Austin Dan Thomas, written by Retheesh Ravi, And produced by Ashiq Usman under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions. Grateful to be part of this exciting new chapter.”
Along with the announcement, the actor shared a promo poster and a BTS image with the core team.

The upcoming film is said to be a cop action-comedy entertainer, with Mohanlal reportedly playing a police officer.
Meanwhile on the work front, Mohanlal is gearing up for Hridayapoorvam, directed by Sathyan Anthikad, co-starring Malavika Mohanan and Sangeeth Pratap of Premalu fame. The film is expected to release around Onam 2025. He is also rumoured to be filming for Jailer 2, reprising his role as Mathew in the Rajinikanth-led action franchise. Additionally, Mohanlal will be seen in cameo roles in the upcoming films Bha Bha Ba and MMMN (Patriot) starring Mammootty.
