Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia are in legal trouble after the latest episode of India’s Got Latent. Because of the controversy, YouTube removed the episode, but the issue is still ongoing as the police are now investigating. Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani are also facing legal problems related to the same episode. Amid all this, singer Mika Singh has spoken up in support of popular artist Diljit Dosanjh and has asked for better control over the kind of language used in such content.

In a video statement, Mika Singh spoke about his concerns regarding the kind of language used by comedians like Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, and Apoorva Mukhija on public platforms.

Talking about the issue, Mika said in Hindi, “I watched the episode featuring Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia. The amount of bad language and inappropriate words was shocking. The audience may enjoy it, and these comedians have their own fans, but sometimes, such content reaches people who may not like it. Even a female participant was using abusive words. It’s their show, but there should be some rules.”

Mika also made it clear that he is not against young comedians becoming popular. His main concern is about well-known celebrities who choose to be part of such content. He questioned, “Why do famous judges and singers agree to be on such shows? Is it just for money? I have no problem with these young comedians, but there should be some limits to what they say.”

Mika Singh also talked about what he thinks is unfair in the entertainment industry. He said that singers like him and Diljit Dosanjh often face criticism and legal trouble because of their song lyrics, but comedians who use bad language don’t get the same kind of punishment.

”Mujhe gussa aata hai jab mera show hota hai ya Diljit Dosanjh ka show hota hai ya kisi bhi bade singer ka show hota hai, bohot saare desh ki raksha karne ke liye log aa jaate hai ki tum sharab pe gaana mat jao, public show pe yeh mat karo voh mat karo. Tum log ko yeh gadhe log nazar nahi aate? Tumhara farz nahi banta? Celebrities aur singers ko fat se notice bhej dete ho toh aap in gadhon ko rok nahi sakte? Itni bakwas kar rahe hai, itne time se bakwas kar rahe hai. Jab koi live concert ho raha hai, Diljit Dosanjh ka joh itna bada show kar raha hai. Muh uthake notice pe notice bhej dete ho, case thok dete ho. Kya aapko yeh log nazar nahi aate?’ he questioned, saying, “Aaj kal ke bacchon ko aasan lagta hai gaali dena. Inko bhejo notice.”

Mike Singh ended the video by saying that India’s Got Latent is a successful show but needs some level of censorship to maintain a balance.

Posting the video on social media he wrote “I’ve been following the controversy surrounding @maisamayhoon and @beerbiceps, and while I find the show entertaining, I strongly feel that the excessive use of abusive language needs to be addressed. It’s essential to maintain a balance between creative expression and responsible storytelling. Let’s promote positive and respectful content!”

As of now, Mumbai police is investigating on this matter after legal notices were issued against the show. FIRs have been lodged in both Maharashtra and Assam against India’s Got Latent, indicating that the controversy is far from over.
