King Release Date Update: Shah Rukh Khan’s Next Likely To Skip Diwali Or Christmas 2026 Release

Shah Rukh Khan’s fans are eagerly waiting for his return to big screen after Dunki. As per reports, he will next star in King and it has created immense hype among the audience even before its official announcement. The movie is likely to release in 2026 but the latest reports suggest that Shah Rukh Khan might skip Diwali or Christmas 2026 release for King.

According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan is expected to choose Gandhi Jayanti 2026 as the official release date of King. The superstar has earlier released his films on Diwali and Christmas. Moreover, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana is reportedly a part of King and has kickstarted shooting with Abhay Verma.

She will reportedly star in King along with her father Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji and many more. It has also been rumoured that Abhishek Bachchan will play villain in King. The movie is said to be inspired the 2000 film Bichhoo and the French film Leon: The Professional. Not much has been disclosed about SRK’s role or the film’s plot. Anil Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, and Jackie Shroff have reportedly been roped in for important roles. King is likely to hit the theatres in 2026.

Talking about Rani’s role, she is said to be seen in an extended cameo. A source told Pinkvilla, “Rani Mukerji and Shah Rukh Khan have worked together on films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna among others, and are now all set for a reunion. Rani Mukerji has been cast to play the part of Suhana Khan’s mother, and it’s a role which acts as a catalyst for the entire action-thriller in the film.”

Earlier, Sujoy Ghosh was supposed to work as a director in King but he was replaced by Siddharth Anand, with whom Shah Rukh Khan worked in Pathaan.
