Kaisi yeh yaariyan fame Parth Samthaan is reportedly making his comeback to the Television industry with CID, a Sony TV show which is considered as a dream project for many actors. If the rumours are true, this would mark his return to daily soaps after a five-year break.
Parth Samthaan’s Alleged Entry In CID
According to a report by Free Press Journal, Parth is expected to star in CID 2, which is premiering on Sony TV and Netflix from 21 December 2024.
However, there has been no official confirmation from Parth or the show’s makers regarding his casting.
Parth Samthaan’s Career So Far
Parth is known for his role as ‘Manik’ in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan and was last seen as Anurag Basu in Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2018-2020). Since, then he hasn’t signed up for any TV show instead, he participated in reality shows like Kitchen Champion, Khatra Khatra Khatra and Social Currency. Apart from tv shows, he also appeared in two films in 2024- Hamare Baarah and Ghudchadi.
Shivaji Satam’s Rumoured Exit From CID
Veteran actor Shivaji Satam who plays ACP Pradyuman in CID is reportedly leaving the show. As per India Today’s report on 3 April, his character would die in a bomb blast. However, in a recent update Shivaji Satam dismissed the speculation saying that he has ‘no clue’ about this decision of makers’ .He confirmed to Times of India that he was currently on a break and not shooting for the show.

What’s Next For CID?
Parth Samthaan’s potential entry and speculation around Shivaji Satam’s exit, CID seems to be heading for a major transformation. The show, which also features Aditya Srivastava and Dayanand Shetty recently expanded its universe with an animated changes, CID Squad – Naye Yug Ka Naya CID.
Fans now eagerly await an official announcement to see if Parth Samthaan will indeed step into CID and how the show will navigate these changes.
