Producer Dinesh Vijan has recently opened about the cancellation of theatrical release of Bhool Chuk Maaf, just one day before it’s final release. The film which is featuring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi will now be available directly on Amazon Prime Video on 16 May.
This sudden move came amid the raising tensions between India and Pakistan. Through an official statement released by Maddock Films and Amazon MGM Studios, people got to know about this. The statement read: “In light of recent events and the heightened security drills across the nation, we, at Maddock Films and Amazon MGM Studios, have decided to bring our family entertainer, Bhool Chuk Maaf, directly to your homes on 16 May only on Prime Video, worldwide.”

In a recent conversation with Mid-day, Producer Dinesh Vijan said that this decision was taken by a sense of responsibility and patriotism. “In light of recent events, we felt a strong responsibility to prioritise the collective sentiment of the nation. Today, what matters more is standing together as a nation when it counts.”

However, he admitted this change has so much risk involved but still they are hopeful for it’s performance. He said, “Of course, there were last-minute changes, and it’s natural to wonder how this will impact the film. But if there is one thing we’ve learned, it’s that a good story always finds its audience.”
Refunds For Advance Bookings Of Bhool Chuk Maaf
Advance bookings for the comedy film had already begun way before. But reportedly the, trade sources confirmed that the audience will get their refund the money. “In such cases, exhibitors refund the money. So whatever tickets have been bought in the pre-sales of Bhool Chuk Maaf, the exhibitors will return the money”.
