Farmers Protest March From Noida To Delhi: Check Traffic Advisory And Key Routes To Avoid

Earlier, Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC) General Secretary Sarwan Singh Pandhair informed that the farmers protesting at the Shambhu border (Punjab-Haryana border) will also march towards Delhi on December 6 to press their demands, including a guaranteed Minimum Support Price (MSP).

Noida Farmers Protest: The Bhartiya Kisan Parishad (BKP) leader Sukhbir Khalifa on Sunday announced that the farmer organization’s members will commence their march towards Delhi today, December 2, to demand compensation and benefits under the new agricultural laws.

“We are ready for our march towards Delhi. Tomorrow, on December 2, we will start our march towards Delhi from under the Maha Maya flyover (In Noida). At noon, all of us will reach there and demand our compensation and benefits as per the new laws,” Sukhbir Khalifa told ANI.

In addition, other farmer organisations, including the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) and the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM, non-political), have planned their marches towards Delhi on foot starting from December 6.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory to inform the public about the potential traffic disruptions due to the upcoming march.

Key Points Of The Advisory:

Traffic Barriers and Checking: Barriers will be set up at all borders connecting Gautam Buddh Nagar to Delhi. Police will conduct stringent checks at these borders. Traffic diversion will be implemented based on the level of congestion.

Recommendation to Motorists: Motorists are strictly advised to avoid the routes affected to prevent inconvenience during travel. They are advised to use metro services as an alternative mode of transport.

Restrictions for Freight Vehicles: All Freight Vehicles will be restricted from traveling via key routes, including Yamuna Expressway, Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, and route from Sirsa towards Parichowk to Surajpur.

Alternative Routes for Travelers:

1. From Chilla Border to Greater Noida: Take Sector 14A flyover, continue through Golchakkar Chowk (Sector 15), and then proceed through Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk and Jhunjhpura Chowk.

2. From DND Border towards Delhi: Take the Filmcity flyover (Sector 18) and Elevated road

3. From Kalindi Border towards Delhi: The suggested route is the Mahamaya flyover. Vehicles can proceed via Sector 37.

4. Greater Noida to Delhi: Charakha Golchakkar, Kalindi Kunj, and other designated routes.

Note: Emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass without any hindrance to their destination even during the diversions.
