Significance of Mahashivratri:
Mahashivratri is an important Hindu festival, more significant than the monthly Shivaratri celebrations. It celebrates the holy night when Lord Shiva married Goddess Parvati. On this day, Hindus observe fasting, show devotion, and worship the divine couple in traditional ways. It is believed that on Mahashivratri, Lord Shiva is present in all Shivlings, making the worship especially meaningful.
