Both benchmark stock market indices Sensex and Nifty opened on a positive note on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Stock Market Update: India’s benchmark stock market indices Sensex and Nifty tumbled to settle on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The 30 Sensex firms drops 152.93 points to settle at 81,820.12 points. The Nifty50 index on NSE too ended with a drop. Nifty50 tumbled 70.60 points to settle down at 25,057.35 levels in Tuesday trade.

Among the Sensex pack, stocks like Adani Ports, Titan, ICICI Bank, Ultratech cement, Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel, NTPC, ITC etc settled in green on Tuesday. However, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, Powergrid, JSW Steel, Maruti Suzuki, Nestle India and Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) tumbled among the Sensex pack stocks in Tuesday trade.

Both benchmark stock market indices Sensex and Nifty opened on a positive note on Tuesday. The 30 Sensex firms in early trade surged 327.39 points to reach 82,300.44 levels, while, the Nifty50 rallied to reach at 25,212.05 levels in early trade.

TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) – Settle 0.46% down at Rs 4,117.50 per share.

Tata Steel – Settle 1.67% down at Rs 155.65 per share.

Tata Motors – Settle 1.14% down at Rs 917.45 per share.

Reliance Industries (RIL) – Settle 2.09% down at Rs 2687.90 per share.

JSW Steel – Settle 1.19% down at Rs 1000.50 per share.

HCL Technologies – Settle 0.76% up at Rs 1870.05 per share.

Tech Mahindra – Settle 1% down at Rs 1675.85 per share.

Adani Ports – Settle 0.71% up at Rs 1420.15 per share.

ITC – Settle 0.34% up at Rs 498.55 per share.

HDFC Bank – Settle 0.24% down at Rs 1684.40 per share.

Notably, 9 of the 30 firms of Sensex settled down positively, whereas shares of 21 Sensex packed companies tumbled on Tuesday.
